The Be a GEM Foundation Scholarship Fund supports Grade 12 students who have demonstrated dedication to community service, academic involvement, and/or leadership. Applicants may be involved in any type of work, but must show a sustained commitment and clearly demonstrate the impact they have made within their school and community.
The Vats Memorial Scholarship was established in honour of our beloved grandmother, who embodied strength, compassion, independence, and, above all, generosity. She lived her life giving back to others and wore her heart on her sleeve. This annual scholarship is awarded to a recipient who reflects these same values through their actions and contributions.

To Qualify Applicants Must:
- Be a grade 12 student
- Be a resident of Windsor/Essex County
- Be attending a post-secondary school in September
- Demonstrate leadership and/or community enthusiasm
